Going away for a little while

Well I will be off line for a few days while the FLOOR gets done. We have to move all of the furniture out of the kitchen and dining room and that includes the computer. Luke and I will be ripping up the vinyl on Friday night and then Saturday and Sunday Luke and our friend Pat with be laying the new sub floor and then Tuesday Home Depot will be putting in the new laminate flooring. So sometime on Tuesday for Wednesday I will be back with pictures. Here is the last look at the floor we have now. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

See you on the other side of a new floor.

Sunday Fun

Today in Syracuse there was a KIDS FEST 2008. We took Ella. They had a ton of the blow up and jump in toys. She had a blast. She also got to try Dippin' Dots, it is a type of ice cream. She ran and jumped for about two hours. Here are a few pictures of the day.

She told me that dippn' dots are cold in her mouth.

Ella in the jumpy house. This was the first time she would walk away from the net side and venture to the middle.

Ella did not like this one. She had one turn on it and was done. It was the bungee cord run. She was harnessed to a bungee cord and had to run out as far as she could and then it would pull her back. She was allowed to do it two times. She did it the first time and when it pulled her back she fell backwards and was done.

This was the big slide. It was her favorite one there. We did not three times.

We finished the day with Playdoh. She made a frog that she was very proud of.

Also today Luke and I went and picked up all of the flooring for the kitchen. The project starts on Friday night. We are just going to get all wild and crazy for our 11th anniversary and strip vinyl off of the kitchen floor.

Ellaisms

Over the last week Ella has had quite a few good ones come out of her.
Here they are:

- Pretending to play on a computer and she runs out to tell me that she has made it to .com

- I am driving back from the mall and am stopped at a stop light. Ella looks between the two front seats and says "You cars get out of our way" Luke thinks he knows where she gets it from. I just can not imagine. HA HA

- Ella and I have a disagreement over who is going to be married to Daddy. So she decided that we should share him. She told me that I could have one leg, one arm, and part of his stomach and head. Then she would have the rest. Then she decided that we could not do that because when we cut him up all of his blood would fall out.

- Came to Luke and I one morning and said that her pants were hurting her and she was going to do what Mommy does and then she unbuttoned and zipped her pants and walked around like that.

- Tells Luke that she likes his card and that it is beautiful, but it kinda got near the fireplace (not on). That happened because she knocked it down.

- Ella has been sleeping in regular underwear. Each night before Luke and I go to bed we get her up to use the bathroom. Last night Luke was the one to go in and wake her up. She rolled over and looked up at him and says "Shrek" We all had a good laugh.

Luke and I are in such trouble with her. She is quite the character.

The new oven II

Well the oven is here and in. Ella helped Daddy hook it up. She handed him the tools and then asked if she could do the honors. So, now we have an oven and the first and second of March Luke and a friend are going to put the new sub floor in the kitchen and the new floor is set to be laid on the third. I can not wait. The funny thing about it is that on the 29th of Febuary Luke and I have to start ripping up the exisitng vinyal flooring. What a way to spend our 11 years together anniversary.

All is right in the world

Well Luke arrived home around 9:30 p.m. last night. I am so happy. We have been together 11 years next week. It was weird when he called me to tell me that he was outside of Auburn, I anxiously waited for him to come into the driveway. The whole time I had butterflies in my stomach. The kind you feel when you are just starting to date and that person is someone you know that you really like. After 11 years it is nice to feel that way again. Sometimes we get so caught up in our married lives that we forget how things used to be. So the silver lining of this trip was that it made me remember how much I love him. Not that I had forgotten, but sometimes it just gets pushed to the side with life.

TGIF

Well we made it. I know that I promised picutes of my redecorating. Well there are no pictures. I did not get to work on the bathroom at all and the bedroom well not quite done. I was hoping to touch up paint and do some sewing. However the room took more time to clean than I thought. I am not going to lie. I do not think I have cleaned out room since we moved it. We are the only ones in it and I just do not have the time. So I spent the week getting it all dusted and vaccumed and I did hang a couple of pictures. So there are no pictures for me to post. I did not want to document how it looked before, and the after is nothing special just a clean bedroom. So now the waiting begins. I can not wait for Luke to get home. I am a little worried about the flights. We are suppose to get some snow today and the airports are packed due to school break starting next week. So hopefully he will be able to avoid too many delays.

Valentine's Dinner

Ella and I had a lovely dinner together tonight. We ordered pepperoni pizza and a dessert pizza. The pepperoni were in the shape of hearts. She thought this was pretty cool. We enjoyed our dinner while looking at the flowers that Daddy sent us today.

All in all what a wonderful day.

Happy Valentine's Day

First Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

To: Ella

To. Luke

When it snows it pours

Well today the repairman came and the jist of the converstation is that we need a new oven. Oh the fun I have had this week. Ella has really been acting up. Hitting and yelling at me. The wipers on my van went in the middle of the snow storm. The problem with the oven and then to find out that if just needs to be replaced. I have made the executive decision that the next time they send Luke out of town Ella and I are going with him also, or at the very least we are not staying home. We will go some where. O.k. I feel a little better getting that off of my chest.

Now I need to find the time to get Ella to the store with me to look at ovens, because I have been with out one since 9/18/07. I want a working oven. So there may be one here before Luke comes home on Friday. Happy Valentine's Day to me.

Wouldn't you know it

Well we are fairing well with out Luke. However it is not without trouble. The oven has been in for about two weeks. Well yesterday it decided to set the smoke detector off. Of course it would I mean any other time in the last two weeks would not have been o.k., but the first day Luke is gone is. I had the neighbor come over to check it and he said that it is giving off too much CO. So not to use it and have a service man come to the house to look at it. So I am trying to get an appointment. I am seroiusly thinking about just removing the oven and filling in the space and not having one at all. I just do not seem to have good luck with stoves, ovens, or cooking. I think I will stick to Microwave and toaster oven things, so if you have any good recipes for those let me know.

Ella's Realization

While washing Ella's hair in the bathtub tonight, she had a realization. When we wash her hair she looks up to the ceiling and talks to Pa (my Dad). This time the conversation started with Pa my Daddy is gone. We talked about how he went to Baltimore. Then she says "And you are in heaven and Grandpa is in Teaxs. All of my boys are gone." She is so smart. I have been supassed 10 fold. I believe my daughter is smarter then me at this point.

Well Luke had a rough go with his flights a lot of delays and a cancellation, but he should be arriving in Baltimore in about 20 minutes.

Here we go again

Well Luke is off on another trip. This time he will be gone for a week. He just left about ten minutes ago and already I do not like it. I hate it when he is away. I have kids all week for day care and at night I have plans to paint to bathroom and finish our bedroom like we had planned when we moved in. So hopefully that will keep me busy. Then of course there is Ella who will certainly keep me busy. She has school two of the days and one of them is the Valentine's day party. I had to buy two different kinds of cards totaling 64 cards. The first cards she picked out were princess ones with gilitter tattos in them. I did not think to boys would like those, but she was not about to buge on those. So then she chose Shrek scratch and stink ones for the boys. Now 64 cards is a lot when there are only 6 kids in her class including her. So we will have a lot of left overs for next year. Well I have babbled on enough for now. I will apoligize now for posting just random stuff this week. When I blog I feel better and do not feel so alone. So you all get the brunt of it. Hopefully there will be nice pictures of the room make overs for you all to see.

I Can Cook

Well the stove in now in. I can finally cook meals again.

Also today my Mom came to help load the kitchen back in. Everything except the counter stuff in back where it belongs. We have to wait for that stuff until he is done with the counters. That should be tomarrow.

There was a children's fair at the Community College today so for a break Mom and I took Ella. She had a great time. She shook Clifford's hand, jumped in a jumpy house, and did an obsticale course. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

Run Grandma Run!!!

Well I have to sign off for now. I have a lot of cooking to do.

An unbelieveable update

Well first off I have been tagged. I am suppose to tell you all 7 weird things about myself.

1. I have to clean my ears with a q-tip at least once a day.

2. If you have read Cammie's blog, I also have what is fondly called "The Cammie" I learned it form her. It basically is an emotional outburst that starts with laughter and ends with bawling.

3. Ever since I was pregant I love to wear big Gammma panties. The bigger and whiter the better.

4. I am a hypocondrict. I even diagnosised myself with prostate cancer once and went to the doctor and told him that was what I thought I had. I know I do not have a prostate. I did not know that at the time.

5. I have a ceratin way I put things in the dishwasher and if they are put in wrong. I will redo it before I start the washer.

6. In the shower I have the same routine. I wash the same body parts in the same order every day and have done so since I can remember.

7. When Luke and I paly games we have to paly until I win. I do not like to lose at games.

Now I am suppose to tag 7 other blogs, but all of the blogs I read have been tagged.

I just finished the Wilton Course II class on Thursday. Here are some pictures of my cake.

Now on to the kitchen. Today he put the rest of the counter top and the new sink in. He also started to tile the back splash. He still has some work to finish on Monday.

Now one might ask where is the tile. Well it was there up until about 5 p.m. when I got home. I took one look at it and was so upset. The tiles that needed to be cut were all jagged and not stright and then they did not fit into the spaces they needed to be in. The design in the middle was so off. Luke called the guy and he said that it did not work out quite right, because the cupboards are not level, but that it would look better after it was grouted. He did not leave any spaces between the tile to put grout in. Luke told him that we were thinking of taking it all off. He said that if we wanted to do that that we better do it quick before stuff dried. So we ripped it all off. Then we have to hand wash the putty off of each sinkin' tile and then scrape the wall clean. OH and the decorative tiles that cost us $50 a sheet yeah he used three sheets of them, we are not sure yet, but we may not be able to use them again. I am so upset right now that I just am beside myself. So Monday sould be interesting when we come to finish and all of the tile he put on is off and we tell him that he can finish the counter top, but that we do not want him to do the tile now.

I am telling you it is never a dull moment around here. I would love to have just a couple dull ones once in a while.

On a happier note. Ella has slept in panties the last three nights and has not wet the bed. We are so pround of her.

Well I need to go have a drink. I big strong Drink.

Sorry about all of the spelling errors. I can not seem to get the spell check to work.
