December update

Well I thought I would take a break from the Disney updates to catch up on the everyday goings ons of our life. December was very busy for us. First Luke moved his office the first weekend of December. It is nice, but it would have been nice for the company to plan the move a little better, he has been working almost seven days a week since to get all settled in. Also the first weekend of December was our Christmas party. Of course Ella needed to dress for the occasion.

It was a very nice afternoon. I saw some friends that I have not seen in a while. It is always good to have a chance to catch up.

Than it was time to get a tree. Ella wanted to go to the woods and get one, so off we go. We find the perfect tree now Luke needs to cut it down.

Yes, Luke I know the most flattering picture. No need to thank me.

Next was to decorate. Ella did it all by herself. We had the most beautiful tree. Princess thought the tree belonged to her. She did not even like us to water it. This weekend when it comes down she will be very sad.

Ella's school hosted a gingerbread making night. Ella and I went we had a great time.

Then it was time for the Christmas concert. This year it went very well. She sang, and did not hit the person next to her. Successful in my eyes.

Now on the Christmas. Christmas eve we were home. Ella had received some reindeer dust that needed to be sprinkled on the front lawn. We did that and then opened up our one present then were off to bed so that the big guy could come.

Christmas morning was as crazy as expected with a four year old. Of course Ella received everything on her Christmas list. Her big present was a doll house from Mommy and Daddy made by Grandma Fran. Thanks again Mom for saving our butts.

Then it was off to my Mom's for Christmas. Again Ella was left desiring nothing. Ella's favorite one from there was a V-Tech game for ABC's she also received a baby doll kit with everything that Mommy and Daddy will have for the baby. That way she can be just like us. All in all it was a wonderful holiday.

Hope you all had a great one too. I can not wait until next year what a change that will be for us, a five year old and a seven month old. I can not wait.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Disney Day Three

Day three was the Animal Kingdom. Ella was not as into this park. We went on the Safari first. It was really neat, but did not hold her interest very well. She did however enjoy meeting Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Goofy, and Lilo and Stitch.

We saw the Nemo stage show here and that was really good. Ella seemed to like the stage shows with all of the puppets. Then Ella and I started back to the hotel while Luke and Phil stayed and did some of the big guy rides. Before we left Ella wanted to see the Tree of Life, so we walked around it. In the bottom of the tree there is a 3-D movie featuring It's a Bugs Life. She really wanted to see it. I however knew that it was a little scary, but we went anyway. Well she did not like it. So then it was off to the hotel for a much needed nap for both of us.
That night Luke and I went out alone and Ella and Grandpa stayed in to rest up. Luke and I went to the Magic Kingdom. I watched the light parade while he did a few of the big guy rides and then I braved a couple myself.
That was it for the day. The next day we had breakfast reservations at 7a.m. So it was an early wake up. More to come later.

Disney Day Two

Well of course the first full day had to be spent in the Magic Kingdom. As you walk in there are photographers there to take you picture in front of the Castle. They are really good about it though they will use your camera also. Then it was off to meet some of the characters. We were really lucky we seemed to just be in the right place at the right time.

Then it was time for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Ella was having her hair and make-up done for dinner with Cinderella in the castle. They were great. She was in heaven. The Fairy God Mother even got her new shoes and a wand.
Then it was off to the castle to meet Cinderella and have dinner. She was beside herself. Ella of course had a hot dog as do all good princesses. During dinner the Fairy Godmother came and sang some songs and we met two of the mice friends of Cinderella. We also got to eat and eyeball cake.

Each night the Fairy Godmother brought Ella a present. This night the present was a crown to wear the next day. I just thought it really gave a good idea of the Diva that she really is.

Disney Day One

O.k. so here comes Disney. This will be in parts.

So Ella did really well on the plane. She was a little scared on the first take off, but after that she was fine. Better then Mommy. I hate to fly.

This was Ella on the Disney Magical Transportation ready for the adventure.

She really liked the hotel. We stayed at the ALL STAR MOVIES resort. Right out side of our building was a four story tall Dalmatian.

Ella is also very fond of finding the letter E for her name so she was very happy when then Resorts name was spelled out in huge letter at the bus stop.

Disney has this really great feature that they will get your luggage from the airport and take it to the resort for you, this way you do not need to worry about it at all. The hang up is that it takes about 3-5 hours to get it. So here we are in Disney dressed in New York Clothes when we left it was stinking cold. We were a little bit hot. We did not have a ton of time the first day. So we took Ella to the Magic Kingdom to see the castle first and of course she was in awe. She just could not believe it. Then we headed back to the hotel for dinner and unpacking to get ready for the next day.

Well that is it for now, because the next day was a big one.

Update part 3

O.k. hopefully this will be the last installment and then I promise I will get to the Disney trip.

Ella got a new pair of slippers it really is not that important I just think they are cute.

Now on to our visit with Santa. Ella did go to see him this year. She would not sit on this lap, but did tell him she wants a Bratz Doll (not in this lifetime) and had her picture with him. I had to be with her, but she did it. This is the picture she drew for him.
On the Baby front all is well. Ella has turned a corner with it. We took her to the last appointment with us. It was the Ultrasound, and no we did not find out what we are having. She was very excited about seeing the baby. She also had a list of questions for the Doctor. She could not wait to ask them. She tried to ask the receptionist, then the sono tech, and then spotted the doctor in the waiting room and tried there, she did wait until the exam room though. She wanted to know if she could be in the OR with me. I will be having another C-section. The doctor explained that she can not, but that she has a very important job once the baby comes and Mommy is with the doctors she and Daddy need to take care of the baby. Then she wanted to know about the how the Baby was going to get out. I will spare you the details, but tell you that she was very satisfied with he answers she got. She found the sonogram fun, but rather long and boring after awhile. The baby did suck it's thumb for us and seemed to blow kisses to us. So far so good. The big day looks to be around the middle of April.

We had a return visitor on Thanksgiving Day, that's right folks Dukie is back again this year. This time he came with letter from Santa. A few weeks ago Ella had a really bad day and canceled Christmas. Luke and I told her that she should be careful because Santa can hear her and I really do not know what he is going to do about it. So basically the letter said that he is watching her extra close this year and knows she can be a good girl and is looking for that. It is all up to her now.

Thanksgiving was very filling. On the Tuesday before Ella had a feast at school. They made the cutest Pilgrim hats to wear. Mom came out to help. I had Maverick and Riley, and Ella, so it was a bit hectic.
Then Mom took Ella home with her for a little vacation. She does not get to go and stay very often now due to school and dance. On Thursday Luke and I went to Mom's for dinner and Ella came home with us. Then on Saturday we cooked at our house and had dinner with Luke's Mom and Dad. Then it was off to the Christmas Parade and tree lighting. And things get even more hectic in December.

Well I think that does it. We are all caught up. Now on to Disney. That will come in installments also.

Update part 2

Well we finally figured out how to get the pictures off of the new camera and onto the blog. It only took three months not bad.
Well if any of you read Cammie's blog about our girls weekend you can skip this part. If not then again it was another adventure with Cammie and Irene. We went to Lake George. It seemed like a really fun place to go, however we found out not in November. Nothing I mean nothing was open not even McDonald's. We walked the first night about three miles through dark streets and next to a very dark are scary lake, and could not find any place to eat then we drove for a while. After using Cammie's GPS we found a very scary grocery store, more like a glorified convince store. Once there we saw a local pizza shop called The Pizza Jerks. We had heard about it and decided to try it for dinner. Well the pizza was good once we finally got it, the service really lived up the the joints name. Then it was off to the store and back to the hotel. We were so excited I had rented some of our favorite movies from college Anne of Green Gables. I had brought my portable DVD player and was going to hook it up to the T.V. I could not get it work so I called the front desk and found out that they have Pay Per View movies so they block the hook ups for DVD players. I was so mad. Well we rent a movie The Maid of Honor cute, but not worth the $10.99 we had to pay to get it. Then the next day we were looking forward to doing some shopping. Well first thing we find out is that everything in town was basically closed. However up the road about 10 miles there were some outlet malls. So off we go. It ended up being a really good day however as always it was a complete adventure when the two of us get together.

Just as I left for that girls weekend Ella started acting out. She wet her pants at school, told Luke that she hated him, that she hated the baby, and that we would no longer have time for her and she did not want to be a big sister. I was floored this had come out of the blue. Up to this point she was so excited about all of it. Well come to find out they had read a book at school the week before that well lets just say did not help the situation. I borrowed the book and we read it once to do some damage control and then I went to the library to get some better books. Since we have started reading those she has been better. I knew this was coming I just thought we might have a little more time before we had to deal with it.

Then about two weeks after that her fish died. So a little background on this fish. It was old when it was given to her by a former daycare client. We have had it for about 2 or 3 years. When we were in Florida I gave the neighbor a key to the house to feed it well I gave her the wrong key so the fish was not fed for the whole time. It lived. Well I am the only one who takes care of this fish and at times it is a pain. Well about a week before it died I had told Luke I wanted to flush the fish and tell her that the cat had got it that way the fish would be gone and she may want to get rid of the cat, who is another issue for another time. Well yes I know some day I will be stuck down by lighting for saying that. Then the night before the fish died I was cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen, and dealing with Ella, and realized that the fish had not been fed. I fed the fish and was not thinking about what I was doing and just dumped the can. Well the fish got too much. I scooped out as much as I could. Then we wake up the next morning the darn fish is dead. Well I tell Ella and she starts to cry and yells Mommy killed my fish. Yeah another proud Mommy moment for me. Well we cried and cried all morning. Thank goodness Luke was off that day. We talked to Ella and she deiced that she wanted to bury him in the backyard and that Daddy could do it while she was at school and she could see where when she got home. Luke had to put a rock next to the area that read "FISHY." When we took her to school she ran ahead of us and right on the patio of the school where everyone comes in and out of she had to kneel down and pray to Fishy. It was so funny. Then when we got home Mommy, Daddy, Ella, and Maverick had to all go out and see Fishy. She took one of my fake flowers and laid it by him. As with most things with Ella it was all done with a flare of the dramatics.

I will leave this installment of the update with a couple of pictures. The first is of the pumpkins from Halloween and then Ella had a wacky hair day at dance.

Thanksgiving

Well here we are again at another Thanksgiving. Time for Turkey, family, friends, and food. This year we are blessed to be thankful for the little resident in my belly. Next year just imagine how blessed we will be. This past year brought us many happy times. Lovey yet crazy family vacations, time spent with friends, good health, and lots of love. I am blessed to have all of you in my life. Each one of you holds a special place and meaning for me. Thank you for that.

Luke at this time all I can say is thank you putting up with me, and venturing on this long journey with me. I love you.

Ella you are the center of my world. I can not wait to see you evolve into a wonderful big sister in the next year. You have so much to offer. I love you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Updates

Well I know that I have not been very good at the updates. This will update on everything since Disney. Disney will come at a later date. I know promises promises.

Well Ella had a check up at the Dentist. If you remember the last one she screamed and yelled and vomited all over the room. This one went much better. I had a friend of mine take her and so it was a fresh face to deal with her. She did very well. Hopefully in May it will go as well.

We did carve pumpkins. Uncle Howard came through again this year with a really big pumpkin. We had a good time carving it. I am sure that my daughter is the only kid who has to wear rubber gloves to carve a pumpkin. My mom did carve a really cool one with Cinderella on it. However I am still trying to figure out how to get the pictures off of the new camera. I am horribly challenged when it comes to technology.

Now on the Halloween. Ella dressed up as Sleeping Beauty, I know what a big surprise. She trick or treated at school in the morning and then at night. She had a lot of fun, but liked handing out the candy better.Election Day. Well to tell this story I have to reveal who I voted for, not up for discussion, but the story is well worth it. So I take Ella with me. She had been very interested in the voting thing. We get in the booth and I explain who the people are and what the jobs are. Yes, we were in there for a long time. I am sure everyone outside was not happy with us. Ella started to pull levers and I told her that she had to wait because she was pulling levers for the people that I did not want to vote for. So I told her to pull this lever she asks who it is for. I tell her John McCain. She then asks who the other lever is for and I tell her Barack Obama. Then we finish voting. I open the curtain and not in her loudest voice, but not the quietest she say "WE DON'T WANT NO BOOMA" OMG I think I am going to die. I explain to her again that we do not discuss who we vote for and that it is private. I was so embarrassed.

That is it for now. I will post again soon with the rest of the update.

Fast Forward

O.k. here is the quick update of the last however many weeks.

This is Ella and her corn plant. If you remember back in May Ella wanted to plant some seeds. Well my Mom had the great idea of giving her popcorn seeds from a microwave bag. We never thought it would grow anything. Well here it is. She was so proud of it.

Next we went to Enchanted forest water safari for the day. She had a good time on the rides and the water slides.

Then it was mine and Luke's birthday. We had a great one this year. We got each other a new digital camera. That is why it has taken me so long to get an update done. We did not know how to download the pictures.

Ella started dance lessons this fall. She is very excited about them. This was her first day.

Ella was invited to a pony riding party. She was a little nervous, but she did fine. She had a great time being with all of the kids.

Then it was time for the first day of school. She is going five half day a week.

Then it was on the Ella's birthday marathon. On the 18th she had cupcakes with the day care kids, then on the 19th she had a doctors appointment. She left there with presents. Then on the 20th she had a party with my family, the 21st was with Luke's Mom and Dad and then the 22nd was at school. So here are some of the highlights.
The cake.
Seeing the cake.
The presents.

On the 20th with my family we had Ella's party after we did a walk for Lung Cancer. Thank you to all who sponsored us.

Ella with the cake outside of the house.

Then Grandma Mary and Grandpa Phil.

This is Ella finding out that she is going to Disney World. And that concludes the update. Sorry it has been so long. Stayed tuned to the updates when we get back they should be pretty cool. As Ella has said it is freakin' me out about this trip. We leave tomorrow morning.
