HAPPY EASTER

Well Easter was a wonderful day. It started off with Ella sleeping until 8am now that was a gift in itself. Then we ventured down stairs. She was very excited to see the Easter baskets all filled.

Then came the rip through that I am sure many of you experienced. Of course there was the candy, some new plates and bowls, a new pair of shoes, and a card.

The card was from the Easter Bunny and inside it sent her on a hunt for the rest of her gifts. She had to go to five different places in the house to find them.
Yes those are Princess dolls and a Fairy Godmother. She got Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Belle, and a Fairy Godmother. The Easter Bunny ROCKS!!!!!!!

The Fairy Godmother had a note with her that told her "To make all you dreams come true you parents have one last gift for you" she needed to go look on the porch. This is what she found.

Yes that is princess bike and yes her parents do ROCK!!!!!!!

She loved it however it was only 18 degrees outside and we could not go out and ride it right away. So there was a little disappointment. We did get out a little later though. Now on Saturday she wanted to go for a ride on her old bike. We told her that it is too small for her but she insisted that it was just the perfect size.

Her knees hit the handle bars and she had trouble steering it because it is so small.

Now on Easter she told us that her old bike was just too small and her new one was perfect. What a day and a new bike can change.

It was a bit of a rough start on the bike, but she got the hang of it. We went out to ride two times. The first was just in front of the house and the last was three or four times around the block.
Yes there is a back pack on the bike so that she can carry one of the Princesses with her and a water bottle. She thought that was very cool.

Then it was time to get all of the food ready. Ella helped to make the center piece for the table.
She also got some bunny earring that she modeled for us.

It was great day. She seemed very pleased with the Easter Bunny. In fact when she crawled into bed with us this morning she stated that she loved everything that the Easter Bunny brought her. Mission Accomplished.

Build up to Easter

Well today was another busy one. We took Ella to the big Easter Egg hunt in town. It is at her favorite park that she like to go to and feed the ducks. It was very cold so she had to be all bundled up for it, but she had a great time. Grandma Mary came to help us find the good eggs.
When we were done with the egg hunt we came back to the house and cooked a big brunch. Ella loves to help in the kitchen. Her part was to stir the pancake batter, but before she could do that she needed to find her chefs hat and apron.

Ella found a basket of clean clothes in the living room. She pulled a piece of clothing out of it and put it on and declared that she was going to be like Mommy.

OH we are in so much trouble.

The last part of the day was to color eggs. She was so excited that she could barely contain herself. Of course most of the ones she did were pink, but there is no surprise there.

All in all the day was wonderful. Tomorrow should be a blast. She has no idea what is coming. You will have to check back for the update.

Another Busy Weekend

Well this weekend we went on an Easter Egg Hunt and visited with the Easter Bunny.

My Mom came out on Saturday and we went to a tiling class at Home Depot. Yes the dreaded tile, but we are now ready to get started. I believe that the tiling will begin the first weekend in April so be on the look out for pictures.
While at Home Depot they had an egg hunt so Luke brought Ella over after the class. She had a good time.

My Mom brought Ella's Easter gifts to give her. They had a big bow on them and of course she thought it was a princess bow and needed it in her hair. She also got a part to her Thomas the train set. She was very happy.

She had also been doing a lot of gardening. Aunt Judy and Uncle Howard gave her a gardening set. Also Uncle Howard sent out a princess watch. So he is pretty cool in her eyes.

Then on Sunday we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. It went pretty well. She did sit on the same bench as him, not close to him, but on the same bench, and there were no tears. So some progress has been made.

Tomorrow is shopping with Aunt Edna. That should be fun. Ella is not very fond of shopping, it has to be done.
Also another shout out to my friend Cammie and her family.
WELCOME HOME ANA!!!!!!!!!!!

TGIF

Well today was quite the day with daycare. I had all the kids together today and boy were they loaded for bear. One of the mom's actually picked her child up and then called to ask me to meet her at the front door a little while later and she had a big bottle of red cat for me. GOD BLESS her. Today Ella really tested me. She got so upset at me that she called me a stupid idiot and then told me she was going to sell my house. Well they are all gone now and here I come red cat.

Also today I saw the funniest thing. I saw a squirrel try to get a whole slice of pizza it found up a tree. It was really a site to see. Well just random stuff that I needed to get out. So now I am going to cook dinner, drink, and watch my new favorite show MY BIG REDNECK WEDDING. If you have not seen this show you need to watch it. No matter how bad you families are you will feel normal. It is on CMT on Friday nights at I think 9:30 p.m.

Fun in the snow

Today Ella and I had some time to play outside. We made snow angels and used the swing set. I also took her for a ride in the sled. Then I buried Ella in the snow.

It was a lot of fun. Now to my friends in Guatemala, I do not want to hear about the weather.

Lights

Well here are the new lights.

These are the lights that hang over the counter. Here they are lit. When they are not lit they have a different look.

Next are the lights over the table. The same goes for them also when lit they look different then when not lit.

So now we are down to the tile, paint and base board. We are getting there.

New Floor

Sorry this has taken so long. We just got things back to normal what ever that is.
Well the floor is done. Luke and I were up until 2 a.m. Saturday morning, then Luke and Pat worked Saturday 8:30 am to 9p.m. and Sunday 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. It was a long weekend. Then they came to install it in Tuesday. It looks really nice. Here are a few pictures from the job.

Yes that is a hole in our floor right down to the basement. That was there both Saturday and Sunday. Good thing Ella was at Grandma Fran's house.

YEAH new sub floor.

This is the new laminate floor.

Ella posing with the new floor.

So now the only things left are new lights, paint, and oh yes the tile. The lights should be going in this weekend. I will post pictures when they are in.

Also some of you may know my friend Cammie. Well I just want to give a shout out to her. On Friday she found out that they will be able to go on March 11th to pick up there daughter who they are adopting. It has been a long tough road for them and this is the end. I am so happy for them. Just needed to share that.
