The story of POOP

Well Ella's appointment went well. The doctor does not think it has anything to do with Lactose, because you do not get constipated from that. He believes that it is all a training issue. She needs to sit and try to go after every meal. She needs to stay on the Miralax medicine, and will go back to see him in 3 months. He was really great with her. He put her right at ease. So I will back off of the pressure and we will try to get her to sit after every meal and may do a chart to help motivate her to want to sit and to go. I can give her regular 1 or 2 percent milk now and juice is good for her. I do not need to push fiber. She can even have a banana or two if she wants. They are her favorite fruit and I have not given her any in about a year. That will make her happy. So we will try this and hopefully it will work. I would love to see the end of this.

Now the title is in reference to the fact that the doctor told us the story of how our food turns into poop with diagrams and all. Very interesting.

Let's all milk Grandma

Well the weekend was very nice. Ella had a great time she went to a farm for the first time. My brother-in-law Howard's parents have a few farm animals. While she was there she saw them milk a cow and collect the eggs from the hen house. My Mom and sister were not sure how much she took in, but she did not like how it smelled. The next day my Mom and Ella were outside playing and she wanted to have her tractor and a pail. Then she told my Mom to go to the front porch to be the cow at the farm. Ella arrives on the tractor and takes the bucket to "the farm" and tells my Mom to stand like a cow and then puts the bucket under her and grabs her shirt and starts to milk my Mom. Oh the love and devotion of a Grandmother. I laughed so hard when I heard this. My sister Edna said some one else should have been there to tape it. It was probably worth $10,000 on America's Funniest videos, if not the $100,000 Grand Prize Winner.

Then on Monday Ella had a dentist appointment. If you do not remember the last one, just a recap. We screamed and yelled and then puked all over. So I was not very excited. She has been chewing on her fingers and toys for quite some time and finally told me that her teeth hurt. So I looked around in there, and could not see anything. So I called. They said to bring her in. I asked the secretary if she told them who the patient was and if they still wanted me to bring her in they got a good laugh. So in we go. Ella did great. She would not sit in the chair, but did sit on a stool and the dentist was able to see her that way. Turns out she is grinding her teeth and has aggravated the ligaments around her teeth and so they hurt, which in turn makes her chew. So some Tylenol and all should be good.

Again she is having bowel issues. Thank goodness tomorrow is her appointment. I can not wait to get to the bottom of this. I just hope it is not something serious. So watch for tomorrow's update.

Clagon Take Us Away

Well last night Luke had to have the car towed home. We think the starter motor is gone. The van needs new brakes on the back. Oh and not to forget the check engine light and coolant pipe issue in May with the Van. And this month also Luke got a ticket for the inspection being outdated since Dec '07 and when we went to get it inspected they found out that we needed a new tierod. So I am about done with cars for now. Thank God the stimulus check is in the mail. Ella is going with my Mom for the weekend and Luke and I have a few things planned like dinner out and to use the gift certificate to the spa. We could really us it. Well that is all for now. I just needed to get that off of my chest.

Ella's Picnic

Yesterday was Ella's end of year preschool picnic. They had a cook out and were able to play on the playground. They had a great time. The weather even held out for us.

This is Ella and her teachers from this year.

This summer Ella will be going to two weeks of Kindercamp. She is very excited about it. The firs week is Princess and Pirate week. She had informed me that she is going to be the princess and not the pirate. Then the second week is going to be cooking club. She should have fun with that.

Also yesterday was the opening day for the Auburn Doubledays baseball team. She loves going to the games. So we went. It was a lot of fun. Each game they pick one player from the doubledays to be the Taco hitter. If he hits the ball and does not get out everyone wins a free taco from Taco Bell. Well every player that came up she would yell out "Is he the taco guy." At the end of the game there was fireworks. At first she was scared because of the noise, but then she started to like them at the end. We will be going back soon.

Hang on for a wild update

Well things here at the Varga house have been rocking and rolling.
The Tuesday after Mother's day Luke got really sick. He woke up with a fever of 105. I wanted to take him to the ER, but he wanted to take some aspirin and give it some time. I was not keen on the idea of waiting for the seizure to happen. While he was sick the van broke down and I had to take it to the garage at my Mom's. He ended up just having a really bad cold, but it kept him in bed for a week. WHAT FUN!!!! I got the car fixed on Wednesday and by Friday something else went wrong with it. So I had to take it back. So, I have Luke in bed sick, a broken car, Ella has three parities to go to, I have daycare, and Wegmans, Ella has a trip to the fire house and We are suppose to leave in week to go to New Hampshire. I ate a lot of chocolate.
Luke got better, the car got fixed. Ella did get to the fire house, but she was very afraid. After what happened at our house this past fall she is not so sure of the whole fire fighter thing. She had worked herself up to a tummy ache with diarrhea. Then it came time for swim that week and she freaked out again. Crying, diarrhea, and refusing to go to school. Finally it come out that she did not want to go underwater. So we got that taken care of. Then we headed for New Hampshire.
It was a lot of fun to see Cammie and Greg and the kids. I love to say that.

The first day we were there we went to a playground to play. Ella got to show off her daredevil side. Ana also enjoyed the playground.

Then on Saturday we went to Ian's baseball game and then to the ocean. Ian is a great baseball player. I think he has a future with the Red Sox. At the ocean we had a picnic and then played on the rocks.

Then we went inside the seaside museum and looked at many different animals. They had a talk about lobsters and we went to that. The kids were able to get up close and personal with them. Of course Ella would not touch it.

All in all it was a great trip. While we were out there Cammie took some new photos of Ella and Luke and I. So be watching for them.
Once we were back I figured Ella's bowel issues would straighten out, but they did not. She would complain of bad tummy aches and just be miserable. So off to the doctor we go. She is still having trouble with constipation and we are going to see a specialist next week. Hopefully we can get this under control, because she has really been miserable.
Here a few of Ella's most recent get ups. The first one is her diving. The second one I call the young redneck cools off, yes that is a tattoo on her belly.
Then we went to a circus that came to town. She had a great time. She rode on her first pony.

Then we went in to see the show. I did not get any good pictures of the acts, but I did get some of her face. She was just in awe of the acts.

Then it was off to my Mom's to help with the garage sale. Ella was very busy there. My Uncle Smitty was the new favorite target. She and Uncle Smitty bonded over his dog Dina. Ella just fell in love with her. She got to take her for walks, and everything. She even saw her poop which was very exciting for Ella. Ella wanted to take flowers to my Dad and Grandma's cemetery, so we bought some to take to them. At the store where we bought the flowers Ella explained to the cashier that they were for her Pa and Great Grandmother and that they were dead and they did not have voices anymore and that the angels come down and took them to heaven because they did not have wings yet. The poor cashier did not know what to say. Then that night Mom, Ella, and I took the flowers to the cemetery. While we were at my Grandma's Ella asked where Great Grandma was. We again explained that she was in heaven. Then she asked where their bones were. We told her that they were in the ground and that their hearts and souls go to heaven. Then as she is standing on my Great Grandfather's grave she asks, can we dig them up. My Mom explained that no we could not dig them up that they have to stay in the ground so that they are safe. Then Ella took a few minutes and just sat by herself and seemed to be reflecting on my Grandma's grave. It was really weird. My mom and I were not sad while we were there. Then off to my Dad's cemetery, she did the same thing there also, just seemed to get very reflective while she was there.
Then the next night she picked a bunch of my Mom's daisies and wanted to take them to the cemetery. We told her that we were not going back. So she decided to use tape and tape them all to the front of the garage so that they could see them from heaven.
Yes, Dad she put tape on the garage. It is alright though it all come off.
Then this last week has been very difficult with the bowel issues. She acted out so much that at times it was unbearable. So for the time being I have gone down to working only one day a week at the grocery store. Just so that I can spend some more time with her and try to figure things out. The appointment on the 25th can not come soon enough.
Now on to Father's day. Well Friday night we all went out on the boat and enjoyed a little relaxation. When we got back to Phil's Ella had to use the bathroom. Now here is another great Ellaism. She goes in and has a bowel moment by herself for the first time in a long time. She comes out and says "I went poopy all by myself and I blew air out my crotch." Luke and I both looked at her and said what did you say, she repeated herself. We asked her if she meant that she farted and she said yes. Boy the things these kids say.
Then Saturday morning Ella took Daddy and Grandpa to breakfast at Denny's. Then Luke and Phil went golfing while Ella and I went grocery shopping for dinner. Then Mary joined us all and we had a cook out.

On Sunday morning Ella woke Daddy with his gift.
Yes I literally meant woke him up.
Then we went to breakfast at the airport that Phil flies his RC planes at. Then it was boat time again. Ella is getting much more comfortable in the water. She even went without hands. Then it was back to our house for another cookout. Luke even wore his present.

So it was been a wild few weeks and I do not expect it to slow down for about 20 years.
