Thanksgiving

Well here we are again at another Thanksgiving. Time for Turkey, family, friends, and food. This year we are blessed to be thankful for the little resident in my belly. Next year just imagine how blessed we will be. This past year brought us many happy times. Lovey yet crazy family vacations, time spent with friends, good health, and lots of love. I am blessed to have all of you in my life. Each one of you holds a special place and meaning for me. Thank you for that.

Luke at this time all I can say is thank you putting up with me, and venturing on this long journey with me. I love you.

Ella you are the center of my world. I can not wait to see you evolve into a wonderful big sister in the next year. You have so much to offer. I love you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Updates

Well I know that I have not been very good at the updates. This will update on everything since Disney. Disney will come at a later date. I know promises promises.

Well Ella had a check up at the Dentist. If you remember the last one she screamed and yelled and vomited all over the room. This one went much better. I had a friend of mine take her and so it was a fresh face to deal with her. She did very well. Hopefully in May it will go as well.

We did carve pumpkins. Uncle Howard came through again this year with a really big pumpkin. We had a good time carving it. I am sure that my daughter is the only kid who has to wear rubber gloves to carve a pumpkin. My mom did carve a really cool one with Cinderella on it. However I am still trying to figure out how to get the pictures off of the new camera. I am horribly challenged when it comes to technology.

Now on the Halloween. Ella dressed up as Sleeping Beauty, I know what a big surprise. She trick or treated at school in the morning and then at night. She had a lot of fun, but liked handing out the candy better.Election Day. Well to tell this story I have to reveal who I voted for, not up for discussion, but the story is well worth it. So I take Ella with me. She had been very interested in the voting thing. We get in the booth and I explain who the people are and what the jobs are. Yes, we were in there for a long time. I am sure everyone outside was not happy with us. Ella started to pull levers and I told her that she had to wait because she was pulling levers for the people that I did not want to vote for. So I told her to pull this lever she asks who it is for. I tell her John McCain. She then asks who the other lever is for and I tell her Barack Obama. Then we finish voting. I open the curtain and not in her loudest voice, but not the quietest she say "WE DON'T WANT NO BOOMA" OMG I think I am going to die. I explain to her again that we do not discuss who we vote for and that it is private. I was so embarrassed.

That is it for now. I will post again soon with the rest of the update.

Fast Forward

O.k. here is the quick update of the last however many weeks.

This is Ella and her corn plant. If you remember back in May Ella wanted to plant some seeds. Well my Mom had the great idea of giving her popcorn seeds from a microwave bag. We never thought it would grow anything. Well here it is. She was so proud of it.

Next we went to Enchanted forest water safari for the day. She had a good time on the rides and the water slides.

Then it was mine and Luke's birthday. We had a great one this year. We got each other a new digital camera. That is why it has taken me so long to get an update done. We did not know how to download the pictures.

Ella started dance lessons this fall. She is very excited about them. This was her first day.

Ella was invited to a pony riding party. She was a little nervous, but she did fine. She had a great time being with all of the kids.

Then it was time for the first day of school. She is going five half day a week.

Then it was on the Ella's birthday marathon. On the 18th she had cupcakes with the day care kids, then on the 19th she had a doctors appointment. She left there with presents. Then on the 20th she had a party with my family, the 21st was with Luke's Mom and Dad and then the 22nd was at school. So here are some of the highlights.
The cake.
Seeing the cake.
The presents.

On the 20th with my family we had Ella's party after we did a walk for Lung Cancer. Thank you to all who sponsored us.

Ella with the cake outside of the house.

Then Grandma Mary and Grandpa Phil.

This is Ella finding out that she is going to Disney World. And that concludes the update. Sorry it has been so long. Stayed tuned to the updates when we get back they should be pretty cool. As Ella has said it is freakin' me out about this trip. We leave tomorrow morning.

This is a good one

I know I have some major catching up to do, but that is not happening today.
So Ella, Riley (a daycare friend), and I are walking out of school. Ella has a dress on today. We are walking along and Ella stops and drops everything and starts to pull her dress up. I tell her no and she says that she has to fix her underwear. I explain to her that she has to wait until we get to the car. So down the sidewalk, across the street, and through the parking lot we go. Half way through the parking lot she says oh no now everyone can see my underwear. I look down and she is shuffling through the parking lot with her underwear around her ankles. OH MY GOSH!!!! So I drop everything and pull her underwear up. The cars all have to stop for us because we are right in the middle. The three of us are laughing so hard. My stomach muscles still hurt. For those of you who know what a Cammie is well I almost turned into one. So there is a little story to hold you over. I promise the many many many updates are coming.

Fun in the sunflowers

Last week I took Ella to a sunflower maze. She really enjoyed it. We went with our friends Joanne and Ryan. Ella and Ryan spent the whole maze having a race and trying to be first. The sunflowers were awesome.

This week we will be heading to Enchanted Forest in Old Forge on Friday. Saturday we celebrate my birthday, Luke's birthday, and my Mom's birthday. Then on Sunday Luke and I will celebrated our real birthday with Ella. Just in case I do not get a chance to post again before or on our birthday.
Luke there is no one else in the world I would want to share my birthday with. I am so lucky to have you. I hope all of your birthday wishes come true. I love you.
O.k. enough mushy stuff. Then next week Ella will get to see where she will be taking dance. She is so excited. She will be have tap and ballet lessons. It should be fun.

Conversations with Ella

Last night Ella decided she wanted to cook dinner for all of us. She called all of her guests, Grandpa, Grandma Mary, and Grandma Fran. Then she made the menu english muffin pizzas, corn on the cob, and chocolate pudding pie. Then the grocery list, and shopping. She made all the food and I helped with the hot part. Here is a picture of her husking the corn. I love the determined face. Then while eating dinner Luke noticed that she had a scrape on the her nose. We asked her where she got it.
I put a towel over my head because I did not want to hear them at swim.
Who?
The kids and the teachers.
Were they saying something you did not like or where they too loud.
They were too loud.
Oh, but how does this deal with the scratch.
I walked into the trophy case with the towel on my head.
Luke and I laugh uncontrollably and then explain that next time she may just want to put her hands over her ears.

Then she is getting a little summer cold and was not feeling well last night. She was trying to find a reason for her getting sick and we told her that there was not a reason people just sometimes get sick. I said like Daddy did a while ago we do not know why, but he just got sick. So then she says. You guys should give me breakfast in your bed tomorrow like Daddy did when he was sick. I am telling you this kid has an angle for everything.
